A satchel with a very personal beginning.
The Student is inspired by a bag that was made by one brother for another many years ago. Originally handmade for study and carried to everything from everyday commitments to piano recitals, that original bag became the inspiration for a design we’ve now reimagined as part of Origins.
Practical, secure and generously sized to accommodate A4 documents, The Student is designed to move easily between work, travel and everyday life. Its satchel form gives it a smarter character, while our Origins colour palette makes sure traditional doesn’t have to mean boring. We drew on our decades of experience in running retail shops when designing The Student too ensuring that a back zip was included in the design as we have found that that is an imperative access point.
Handmade from start to finish in our own workshop using Old English leather, The Student is designed to wear beautifully. The leather will soften and develop character with use, creating a bag that becomes increasingly individual to its owner over time.
